This model has been developed with a specific pattern for jumping saddles.
Its ergonomic shape and reinforced upper section are designed to sit correctly under the saddle, allowing clearance around the withers and helping the horse move freely during training or jumping.
The fit supports stability, comfort and freedom of movement, while helping to reduce rubbing.

No. Our showjumping saddle pad is designed to sit securely under the saddle, thanks to its balanced pattern and fit developed specifically for jumping saddles.

It also features high-resistance hook-and-loop keepers and herringbone tape, designed to help keep the saddle pad in place and reduce movement during training or competition.

The fabric is created thread by thread using the Ikat technique of traditional lenguas mallorquinas, forming a natural cotton and linen base with texture, breathability and the subtle variations that only handmade textiles can offer.

This fabric is combined with durable grape-based vegan leather details and technical reinforcements designed to help the saddle pad stay stable under the saddle.

How is the Pollença saddle pad made, and how long does it take?

Each S’ILLA saddle pad is made entirely by hand in Mallorca, through a craft process that begins long before cutting and stitching.

The fabric is woven in a traditional workshop on the island, where skilled artisans create authentic Mallorcan llengües Ikat thread by thread. Each yarn is dyed following the distinctive llengües pattern, then woven into a fabric with texture, identity and the natural variations that make every handmade piece unique.

From there, the saddle pad begins to take shape. The fabric is cut, shaped and assembled using a pattern developed specifically for equestrian use. Reinforcement and fastening details are then added, including grape-based vegan leather finishes and hook-and-loop keepers, designed to help the saddle pad stay stable under the saddle and reduce movement during training.

More than a saddle pad, it is an equestrian piece shaped by design, craft and cultural identity, created to bring Mallorca’s textile tradition into the world of horses.

Each saddle pad requires 10 to 15 days of work before dispatch.
What Are Lenguas Mallorquinas?

Mallorcan llengües is a traditional textile from Mallorca, recognised for its distinctive flame-like pattern and its strong connection to the island’s textile heritage.

Its design is created using an Ikat technique, where the yarns are dyed before being woven. This means the pattern is not printed on the surface, but formed within the fabric itself.

At S’ILLA, we use this textile tradition to create equestrian pieces with identity, craft and a distinctive Mediterranean character.
What materials is the saddle pad made from, and what makes it a sustainable piece?

It is crafted from a natural blend of 70% cotton and 30% linen, chosen for its excellent breathability and ability to help absorb the horse’s sweat.
At S’ILLA, we also replace traditional leather with grape-based vegan leather in the areas most exposed to girth friction. This material is highly resistant to wear, more sustainable, and 100% cruelty-free, bringing refined equestrian elegance while respecting animal welfare.
Can I customise my S’ILLA saddle pad?

Yes. As each saddle pad is handmade in our workshop, the details can be adapted to create a custom piece for you.
